I keep writing posts in my head, but they are full of carping that people love things I loathe with a vengeance and would like to see wiped from the face of the earth, and upsetting a bunch of people, while it might give me some brief satisfaction in the moment (and I do admire a well-phrased, pithy rant), would just make me feel shitty over the ( Read more... )

I was able to de-ruin a Calphalon pan by soaking it in OxyClean, a substance to which I am, appropriately enough, addicted.

*nods* THIS. There's one thing in particular I'd like to rant about but the monkey poo would go flying like a monkey poo smoothie with the lid off. (It's also a pretty indefensible rant, so minus points for me.)

I'd say this is what Fandom Secrets is for, but that's not satisfying either. :(

I wish there was an Unreasonable Fandom Rants community but I'm not sure how that would work. ;)

Is your Dutch oven made of enamel over cast-iron? If so, eHow suggests adding a tablespoon or so of bleach to the soaking water. As far as I know, stains on the enamel are okay and shouldn't affect anything you cook in it afterward. My mom's Dutch oven is enamel over cast-iron and it has stains in it.
