I liked Justified, and I'm saying this as someone who's a fan of Elmore Leonard and his dialogue. So I can say that the pilot absolutely respected that. Granted the pilot ep was pretty much pulled directly from the source material. However I've read interviews with cast and crew where they talk about doing their best to try to respect EL's style as they branch out on their own.

Justified was interesting from a character standpoint; it's the first show I've seen that frames that whole cool-as-a-cucumber lawman thing in terms of his inner rage. Outwardly calm, inwardly angry. Also, Walton Goggins is kind of stunningly awesome in it; he outshined my beloved Timothy Olyphant, which is really saying something. So I give it a tentative thumbs up.

robert wisdom on burn notice! i like that. except now i'm trying to picture uriel in miami and it's kind of a weird image. in my head he looks less than impressed.

i've never read any elmore leonard so i don't know how faithful justified is to his dialogue (altho apparently it was pretty close), but i was interested in it enough to watch it next week. i like a lot of the supporting characters as well as the main guys, which is always nice.
