agree--need more sue! squicky songs! spidey-lashes so weird--i feel like pics of her over time would show them growing. and yeah, cm has the summary 'the team tries to catch a serial killer' every single week in the paper. which, yeah. feel like they've been a bit disconnected sometimes, and slightly interchangeable. glad they're getting back to the hotch-arc.
You know, I wonder if it's because I watched the first four seasons in about a month, that now I'm like, "Huh, this isn't really doing it for me." I love the characters, but the cases haven't been really intriguing to me this season. Hopefully getting back to Hotch's story will change that.
I'm trying very hard to keep bending the rules and suspending my disbelief, but something's going to have to give eventually. This ep made me uncomfortable for multiple reasons, but I did like Finn's distressed, "They'll think I'm pooping!" and Kurt's resulting facial expression.
Glee is failing so hard that I am finding it really unpleasant to watch. I mostly just watch for the songs at this point, which leads me to think I'd be better off just getting the soundtracks and skipping the episodes.
Though last night did have one priceless line - "I don't know why I find his stupidity charming." Kurt has no delusions that Finn is anything but an idiot.
prentiss seemed weirdly glammed-up this episode, makeup-wise. it was definitely distracting. good thing she continues to be pretty fabulous.
and yeah, the cases are kind of meh. i got to the end of this episode and thought "well that wasn't really about the actual case or the unsub at all, it was just an excuse to have foyet toy with hotch". and the amount of science/behavior lecture in the beginning seemed kind of out of proportion to the point of it, which i guess was so spencer could have a lightbulb moment about the unsub being born into conflict. (which, being spencer, he could've had without having had to attend a lecture on it first.) i dunno, i liked a lot of the episode but the only thing about the case that really interested me (especially after you find out it's totally unconnected to the fox's random admirer) was the unsub being a woman. and you don't find that out until towards the end.
Oh god, Glee. I was teetering right on the edge of done with it since ep 4; it's kind of pathetic that every single episode so far has confirmed that being cautious about my emotional attachment was the right decision.
(Also "the other Asian kid" is Mike Chang, played by Harry Shum, but if I hadn't been reading Angry Asian Man on a regular basis, that fact would have escaped me too. >:|)
