I have spent the past three days slogging through the recording of Wednesday's meeting in order to write the minutes. This is the only writing I've done all week. I am ten minutes from the end of the recording. Glory hallelujah, there's light at the end of the tunnel ( Read more... )

I've been thinking about who's the traitor/who's going to die. And while I'm pretty much opposed to Bobby being the answer to either, in an odd way I think it would be neat and interesting if Anna or Castiel were the traitor. And Ruby was the one that died. It would introduce an interesting aspect and truly shake things up.

I could go with that.

I totally think Anna's the traitor.

Given that she fell from grace once, it's not a bad choice.

Well, I am taking only the "someone dies" part into account. I don't trust spoilers that much. Mainly because that means it can't be anyone other than Bobby and I don't want that.

Robert Wisdom is awesome. He carries off that vaguely menacing-but-not-evil commanding presence you'd expect from a named archangel, you know, a being that's that powerful ( ... )

he really, really does.

I'd be pretty disappointed in the powers that be if he shows up in season 5 as well, because I can't see how that would come off as anything but shoehorning in something because it makes the fangirls squeeful.

yes. I already went through that with Spike. I don't want to go through it again.

And I'm really disappointed in her sudden turn into love interest, mainly because it feels like that means the powers that be can't really understand the idea of a female character near male characters who doesn't eventually end up with one of them in some way, and it just doesn't feel like her anymore.I have never actually thought of her as a love interest, but I suppose they could go there. Gah. I mean, the sex doesn't bother me that much (I mean, it bothers me int he way it's supposed to bother me, I think, in terms of Sam's character arc), and I am perfectly okay with Ruby being weirdly ( ... )

I'm getting that from Genevive having said things about being the love interest and talking about how omg deep down Ruby is totally in love with Sam. Which is apparently (according to her) partially how she's interpreting the character and partially what she's been told to do, so... really, IMO, a big fail all around. The sex itself doesn't bother me either (GOD WHY DIDN'T DEAN AND BELA HAVE THAT ANGRY SEX I WAS PROMISED ARG) but the idea that now Ruby is kind of... stripped of her demonness and is following Sam around loyal because she luuuuurves him makes me so annoyed. I mean, they might surprise us with this, but from what I've read of her talking about her part... ehhh. I am not hopeful.

Yeah but they don't tell the actors everything and they are really keeping things close to the vest with Ruby -- I just think whatever she is up too she can't be fully trusted. She may hate Lilith but -- I don't know, my spec based on absolutely nothing is that Ruby's motives are connected to Azazel's end game (which isn't what Lilith is doing, I think Azazel wouldn't have wanted to bring the Angel's down to earth.) This is all spec based on nothing, I only let myself be spoiled so far (and frankly on a few things I know I wish I didn't, my safe places for spoilers went a little over the line for me, anyway).

If it's Bobby...oh god. It would be an absolute punch to the gut.

That's the only thing that really makes sense, but I am choosing not to believe it.

I'd love for it to be Ruby. But I kind of have another theory based on things I know I can't mention here. All I know is it better not be Bobby or Castiel. I think Castiel brings a lot to the show.

Eh, I don't think he brings enough that I want him sticking around. I think it'd be much more interesting if he were an actual antagonist. Mileage obviously varies.

See I don't think he isn't the antagnosist. I expect that they will always be a bit at odds with Castiel. I don't think he'll end up hanging with them in Impala. I just think it's an interesting character, and I'm still wondering what the Angel's full plan for Dean is and the twists that will bring -- which I really do see having to go into a season five.

But they're still on the same side. I want to see them in opposition - to have Sam and Dean oppose both heaven and hell.
