( fruit of the poisonous tree : n. in criminal law, the doctrine that evidence discovered due to information found through illegal search or other unconstitutional means (such as a forced confession) may not be introduced by a prosecutor. The theory is that the tree (original illegal evidence) is poisoned and thus taints what grows from it. )

I love how well these two fandoms fit together in your capable hands. My favorite part might be where Sam has been trying to be Dean-like and trying to be Sam and doesn't know how to be either one any more. I think that's very true, in canon too.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it. The part about Sam trying to be Dean-like was the original point of the story, before the demon blood stuff took over, so I'm glad that worked for you.

Once, I moved a dresser with my brain. Is it weird that I heard Sam saying this in the "one time, at band camp?" voice?

he'd been trying to be Dean and hadn't known how; now he's trying to be Sam again and he doesn't know how to be that anymore, either Aw, Sammy.
