TV catch-up:

Pushing Daisies. I am SO SAD this has been cancelled. SO SAD. I just. It's SO MUCH BETTER than most everything else on TV - it's clever and funny and quippy and full of heart - it has real emotional depth beneath the candy coating. It's different, and I get that it might be too whimsical for some people, but it's just ingenious. This ( Read more... )

The most recent episode of FNL made me cry too! ::happiness::

I'm right there with everything you just said. I didn't expect to be this sad at Jason's send-off, either, but I totally was. Am. It's awesome. (OH TIM.) I hate how Tyra's storyline is unfolding, but only because my heart goes out to her; it still feels believable and consistent to me. (I hope Tami figures out how to help her get back on her feet, and soon.)

And oh, man, the Taylors --! The whole "we got any aspirin?" thing just kills me. And Tami saying, "I don't need this house; I've got you, and the girls, and that's everything I need." OH Y'ALL!!!

*nod nod*

And I love how AWESOME Tim was during the whole thing. "When do we leave?" I just... TIM! *heart*

I know! I just - the house was a nice dream, but it wasn't something she needs to be happy, and she knows that. *sigh*

FNL is definitely one of the best shows around. I highly recommend it. Season one is spectacular. Season 2 is missable, but season 3 has been hitting it out of the park.

Booth's librarian fantasy was hilarious.

That was SO AWESOME. And then she did it after he left and was like, "WTF?"? *heart*

There needs to be a crossover with him and Dean kicking down doors and toting guns and being totally, awesomely hot.

I completely agree.

Booth also made me think of Mulder and the Magic Fingers in "Bad Blood". XD

Hee! Yes. Possibly one day he will sing horribly and it will be hilarious.

I caught up on FNL today too! Had a little Jason/Tim otp moment myself, there. Tami and Eric are awesome together as always. Matt kept ripping my heart out -- he carries so much already, and his mom wanting to help him and Matt keeps refusing, and then to be demoted to QB2. Oh, Matt. Julie & Matt are quite adorable together, and I was glad to see them happy.

Tyra, Tyra, what are you doing??? Argh.

I love Matt so much, and it hurts to see him hurting, but he's making it work for him. And oh, man, the look on his face - and on Eric's - when Julie took up his cause at dinner. That was hilarious.

Tyra, Tyra, what are you doing??? Argh.

Poor Tyra. Her mother was actually right for once, and ugh. Just... I want her to come back and go to college and stop making bad decisions!

They were in Times Square - they could have seen real live strippers, showing way more than a Broadway show, but no, he wants to go see Patti LuPone.

But they have real live strippers in Dillon too, no? Didn't Tim's brother's fiancee work at that strip bar or something? I thought he wanted some New York like experience, he just wanted strippers too.

Well, yes, but I think if he was expecting the kind of stripping he sees at the Landing Strip in "Gypsy," he would have been sadly disappointed.

Sure, I just meant he might not find the stripper part so exciting, but really wants to see a Broadway show as NY experience, and the stripper theme is merely a plus.

That is a possibility.
