why would they be so far away from the action?

I keep trying to write an entry (I opened this window at 9:35), and work keeps interrupting. Stupid work.

I was talking with innie_darling and dotfic the other night about my writing woes and I think part of it is ( vague spoilers for SPN through 4.03, mostly tl;dr about my writing issues )

writing: neuroses, that sam-i-am, tv: supernatural, oh dean, the boy/boy melodrama

We are long overdue for some brotherly brawling, and I for one think it would be the hottest most awesome thing ever.

I'm on board with this.

The fight scene in Skin is one of my favorite. YES.

I'm hoping that's how Dean finds out, walking in on Sam and Ruby.

If I were writing it, that's totally how it would go.

Hmm...

I love it when they brawl. Because yeah, it's hot, and then there's always the possibility of an adorable brother moment afterward because one or both of them feels bad. Maybe there will be hugging! *hopes*

I think they'll totally feel bad about it afterwards and there will be unspoken truce offerings and it will be AWESOME.

In theory, I get that brawling might be called for. But seriously, Sam's been through so much, the thought of Dean hitting him in anger is making me want to hide under the bed.

On the flip side, though, I just watched No Rest for the Wicked last night, for the first time since it aired. And I think Sam's got to be really, really angry, too, and that's playing into what he's doing now in a big way. So I think the brawling is inevitable. I just hope it isn't Dean hitting Sam and Sam just taking it. Because I love Dean so much, and I don't want to be as angry at him as I'm afraid that will make me.

*pathetic*

Oh, I think Sam is very angry - Sam's ALWAYS been very angry, and the helplessness he must have felt last season, being unable to save Dean, it has to be eating away at him, so I totally don't think Sam would stand there and take it. I just happen to think he really does need to be called out on the lying he's done so far this season, and given the state Dean's in when he gets back/wakes up, and what Castiel has just told him, I think Dean's in just the right place to do it with some force.

I think I'll be okay with it if we get to hear some of what's going on with Sam. I hope. *nervous* I just think, the guy is completely messed up, and I need the show to address that, and not just be like, he's evil now so he's lying. You know what I mean?

Watching No Rest for the Wicked was good for me. I was so upset about Dean the first time I watched it, I couldn't really appreciate all the nuance they put into the whole episode, and how amazing both JA and JP's performances were. I just want more of the same attention given to this, and I'm afraid it will get subsumed in the weekly storyline and the angel/demon war, which is I know a hazard of television, but it's hard. What I'm afraid of is TV shorthand where we get one scene of Dean going off on Sam and it doesn't really come to much or address the deeper issues.

I think we will. I hope we will. I mean, Sam's clearly been off the rails for a while, and I'd really like to see it addressed.

Yeah, the problem with going mytharc heavy is that it kind of sucks the air out of everything else. I really hope they manage to balance it.

*I love when Jensen uses his BIG voice - he's all loud and commanding without ever sounding strained. *dreamy sigh*

Hell yeah!

It's just the first time I'm actually active writing-wise in an open canon tv fandom. This is one reason I try to avoid writing in open canon tv fandoms.
