So I decided to listen to some of the commentaries on the Dark Angel dvds, and the WTFery is matched only by the hilarity of some of the stuff they say. Last night, I listened to the commentary on "Hello, Goodbye," because I have watched the scene where Max tells Alec about Ben (and the morning after scene where Logan watches him leave - points to

They all have had nothing but good things to say about Jensen, which I approve of. *G*

My favorite commentary is on Berrisford Agenda, they love Jensen!

The best part of that commentary was -- I can't remember the exact words, I have to paraphrase, but Jensen and Jessica Alba are on the screen, and on the commentary, the producer guys are on about how attractive he is, for like DAYS, and he's a great actor, and has charisma, and he's so handsome etc etc etc and then at the very end, it's like one of them gets a Heterosexual Red Alert and suddenly says, "Of course she's not hard on the eyes either..."
I seriously laughed until I *cried*. I think it's one of those moments when they're in the kitchen.
Plus, I just love listening to them every time Jensen would show up on screen in any episode. They're just so positive and complimentary about his contribution and his skills (and his pretty pretty face).

They really are!
but making the immediate jump from "they're so siblingy" to "they're in a love triangle" made me laugh and laugh.

And this might be getting too deep for DA, but I swear to god, every time I watch that scene in Hello Goodbye I can see Jensen look straight at the camera before the angle changes. And since that camera is supposed to be Logan POV, I always get the feeling that Alec was acting all touchy-feely because he saw Logan. Maybe it's my inner shipper talking, but there you have it.

I mean, he had to know Logan was all frowny-faced about the argument he walked up on Max and Alec having at the beginning of the episode. And the fact that Logan immediately jumps to the "they're sleeping together" conclusion because of that one-armed hug (well, and Alec spending the night), which irritates me on Max's behalf, even though she ends up turning it into a way to break up with him yet again, means that Logan is obviously seeing the same kind of sparkage I am. *g*

I mean, at the very least he knew Max was in no mood to deal with Logan right then so he tried to piss Logan off and get him to leave. But I definitely agree, Logan didn't seem the jealous type until Alec showed up. :D

Not because of this, no. *g*

He didn't!
And if Logan buys it, and Max's immediate response isn't "are you nuts? he's my brother!" then obviously we are not crazy for seeing it, either.

I'm glad to know that the commentaries are at least enjoyable to listen to (even if just for mocking at times ;) because I was kinda disappointed with the lack of features, but then I have to remind myself that the show actually came out a while ago before every disc had a featurette and there were easter eggs to find on the discs everywhere.
Also? I would so have tuned in for A Dog and His Boy! Alec and Joshua were my two favorite characters. How could you not just want to hug them both?

The commentary on Freak Nation even has the writers telling what they had planned for season three, which never materialized.

they're adorable together, though I really would like Original Cindy to come along. because she is awesome, and I enjoyed her interaction with them both, as well.

Heh... and I go to the three of them scoping chicks at some transgenic strip joint in Terminal City - Joshua the only one that looks remotely guilty or embarassed about being there.
I have to say I loved Original Cindy so much because she had some of the best lines and it was great to see an unapologetic lesbian on television who wasn't a huge stereotype to either extreme.

Okay, that story totally needs to exist. Please tell me it exists!

It makes me so sad that there is so little fic dealing with her directly. Sigh.
