Well, given some of the things I need to do, cable seemed the best option. And I did mooch off the neighbors for about a year and a half, so...

And why do things like the cable going out happen on Friday evening, when we have to wait all weekend for service, if it's just our connection, oy.

Oh, it's not my connection. There are outages all over Manhattan, and allegedly there are technicians in the field working on them. It's been at least five hours, now, though, so who the hell knows what's going on?

sigh. It is so difficult to laugh properly when you have such technology woes. I'm valiantly managing under the strain and doing it anyway, though.
