Man, I am supposed to be writing, but I just spent an hour trying to find decent looking black strappy sandals with a low heel that I could use for work. The heel on one of my sassy buckled black mules broke and while I am sure I will eventually manage to get to the shoemaker to have that fixed, I need new sandals ( Read more... )

Oh, man, I have some dressy strappy sandals with a 2 3/4" heel and I never wear them, even though they're gorgeous, because I just can't stand the heels anymore, even though they're not skinny or really high.

I haven't worn pumps in years, and I don't miss them. Luckily, I work in a place where I don't have to.

in addition to zappos there is now www.piperlime.com. some of the stuff is the same, but they have some different stuff, and there's some variation from the prices on zappos for the same shoe. (they also seem to have some colors of particular shoes that zappos doesn't, and vice versa.) the shipping is slower, so the gratification is not as instant, but it's the same free shipping and free return shipping deal.

no, i did not just buy a number of pairs of shoes, why would you ask?

Now if I could find pretty sandals that don't hurt my feet and aren't too casual for work (not that I haven't, on occasion, worn high-end flipflops at work *cough* I just try not to do that much anymore), that'd be awesome.

Get out of my brain.

I've been looking for those same elusive sandals for two weeks now. I finally found some I like, I'm just hoping that when they arrive they don't look too much like Granny Sandals. Damn my tender feet!

Also, in the absence of said sandals I am wearing high-end flipflops today. My feet were too swollen for the kitten heel slides with the big buckle.

Stupid shoes.

Hee! GMTA!

*nod nod*

That's a huge concern. Also, I am *hard* on shoes, so they need to be sturdy, but not necessarily *look* sturdy.

I keep mine at work, just in case.
