So. very. boring. I'm actually playing solitaire most of the time.

And, you know, I really wanted to like Ellen de Generes as host, but she's the most boring part of the show. Her jokes aren't even close to funny and seem mostly designed to not offend anybody.

Boring, and also my heart's kind of bleeding for Peter O'Toole right now. I haven't seen Last Kind of Scotland, so I don't know if Forrest Whitaker deserved to win or not. But this was almost certainly Peter O'Toole's last chance. So many nominations, such a brilliant and iconic actor, probably nearing the end of his life, and he lost AGAIN.

Yeah, I feel bad for Peter O'Toole, because from what I read, it was pretty much Whitaker's race from the get-go. Well, maybe now he'll let them give him the honorary Oscar, because they gypped him out of it a couple times when he should have won.
