fic: Thou Unknown I Know (Supernatural; Kat)

Jan 28, 2007 15:45

So I rewatched "Asylum" (and "Scarecrow") earlier, and this is what happened. This is not the story I planned to write about Kat, but I like it.

Thou Unknown I Know
Supernatural; Kat; pg; 820 words
The more she thinks about it, the more she knows she can't just pretend she doesn't know.

I believe with / doubt. I doubt and / interrupt my doubt with belief. )

fic: supernatural, kat from asylum

Oh, yay! Fic about Kat! And this is exactly what I would have hoped for the character, too.

She's brave here, but still a little unsure. I like that.

Thank you! I really like the idea of some of the folks they've helped taking up the fight after they've moved on, and I'm so happy it worked for you here.

Thanks so much!

And it sparked a plotbunny in my mind about all those people they've left behind and what they think when they hear the news about the Winchesters being wanted for murder and bankrobbery and etc.

Yeah, it'd be cool to read a series of ficlets on that subject. You should write that. *g*

Inquiring minds want to know: Will there be more?

I dunno. Maybe? I have another Kat story I'd like to write, so I suppose it could tie in with this one.

Oh, I loved this. It's wonderful to see how the experience affected her. And it feels very true to how she's portrayed in canon, that she doesn't just forget about it, that she needs to act.

Gavin's reactions just hurt, but at the same time they ring very true as well, because I imagine a lot of people would react in exactly that way.

And I love the ending, with her heading out there alone. Scary and beautiful.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad it worked for you, and felt true to both Kat and Gavin.

I really like this, and not just because I happen to adore the actress who played Kat (although there is that). ...the clean, destructive power of fire is a very powerful phrase for me, for whatever reason. I really dig this, and I like the idea that Kat went out and became a hunter, and it makes sense that she would and Gavin wouldn't. This is kind of like what I imagine Ronald would have done if he hadn't gotten killed. :( Anyway, lovely story.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you liked it, and thought it felt right for her character.

Are you a pyro like me Dean? *g*

This is kind of like what I imagine Ronald would have done if he hadn't gotten killed.

Maybe, though I think I see Ronald more as a Lone Gunman type, doing the research and passing it on to other hunters. Poor guy. He was good at the research stuff.

I'm not a pyro; I'm just a word geek. Sometimes phrases just resonate with me, and that's one of them. *shrug* I'm weird.

Ooooh. I have a habit of not reading characters well, I think. I like the idea of Ronald as a research guy much better than Ronald as a hunter. I can see him hanging out at the Roadhouse with Ash. Ronald/Ash OTP!!! Except, you know, not. Hehe.

Well, I was just teasing about the pyro thing.

Exactly. He could have been a good resource. Sigh.
