[Lavi's still not wanting to celebrate his birthday even after having found himself in a strange Kanda's restaurant and well wishes from a bonded pair. He had gotten Tyki back, it's all he wanted, his world was whole once more and it would be selfish of him to ask for more. [He had remembered today. His head might still have been a bit scrambled and a mess from dying, but he made sure to stash away this date some place in his memory it would be safe. So, while Rene had been out, Cross had, yes, broken in to his son's room and started a bit of cleaning to pass the time while he waited for the younger's return. With him were a few small things and one larger, though, the junior bookman wouldn't get to keep the larger.]

[Lavi didn't expect him to, even if he was asked. And you still haven't reacted to your present, mister. And it's not so much as breaking in as simply opening the door, he had nothing to steal in the room so it was left the same way that Cross had last seen it, ready to leave at a moment's notice. If...a bit messy from clothes everywhere.

He pauses at the sight of his open door though and nudges it open.] Hello? [Head pops into view and he pauses again.] Cross?

[He loved it. Loves it actually. He's been keeping it safe in its gift box home for now, lest someone try to take it. It's hard for him to trust anyone in the dressing room.

The sound of the younger man's voice drew Cross from his odd train of thought and he turned, giving Rene a smile.]

[He didn't make it for you to just keep it in the box, it's a gun that's meant to be used. He's stopped short at the entrance to his own room, slowly stepping in though he leaves the door open.] A-ah...thanks. [He's still a bit sheepish when it comes to those two words, awkward.]
