One of my cousins graduated from Davis High the other day, and yesterday was her party for it.  I went, more becuase I feel like I owe her parents for always coming to my stupid crap over the years.

I remember it better than I remember a lot of high school. I remember wondering why everyone thought I had to do the kareoke, as if I knew the words or could sing at all. In fact everyone is always thinking I can sing when I totally can not. I had on leopard print sandal-slippers. You danced with Smithy, though I can't remember if it's Smithy or Smitty.. now I think Smitty, don't hold it against me. I remember taking pictures while pretending to throw each other off the stern of the boat. I remember sailors. What is it about me and sailors? I remember being pretty oblivious to everyone else on the boat but us. I remember I was suprised that I had so much fun.

Is it Smitty? Hmm... nah, I think that would have been too cool for highschoolers to come up with. Probably Smithy. I remember getting super carsick on the bus ride up, and that they showed The Water Boy (which I recently found out is the highest grossing sports movie ever). You won the most chips in gambling, totally kicking ass at craps. We were the only group still standing by the end of the night, although we'd lost a few people to napping by that time. I remember seeing the huge gap between us and the other groups so clearly, and truly glorying in it.
