I'd LOVE to play Esmeralda, but I've never played her before and I haven't read the book.

Oh no, don't let that discourage you! We have TONS of people picking up characters they've never had before at d_a, hell, I'd never played any of the muses I have over there, either. We'd love to have you, I'm sure!

And the book thing was just because Clopin-mun and I liked it. A lot. And we like talking about it to an equal degree. XD The characters are pretty different anyway, especially Esmeralda, so it won't affect you if you haven't read it.
