Thanks so much, both for rereading this fic and for friending my fic journal! I hope you can find something enjoyable over there. I really enjoyed how Alice turned out in this as well, so thanks! :)

Well I've seen this on a few communities and I've friended your fic journal but I didn't think that I would ever read James with someone else. I honestly read the summary a few times, then thought no. No, James and Lily. The end. So, I ended up reading this. It's good. Like really good and perhaps I should collect my thoughts and come back later. But I won't. Alice's maturity is well written and James' character particularly his youthfulness, through her eyes is very believable. I adore you for ensuring that he is a good lover, devoted and deft as he is in any decent Lily James fic. In sum, very well done and thank you for sharing this. I also must apologise for the overuse of the word 'good'. I have been marking papers and my adjective bank is empty.

Thanks for reviewing and giving it a chance! I definitely understand where you're coming from; it's difficult to read a character from a beloved pairing with someone else. I guess the best thing you could ask for is to have the author also love that particular pairing and treat it with respect. :)

My favorite part of writing this was definitely contrasting James' youthfulness with Alice's maturity. I think that it's difficult to do that in a Lily/James fic because they're roughly the same age. But enough with my babbling! Thank you again, dear!

I did suspect that. That you were respecting Lily/James underneath it all. I shall now go looking for your Lily and James stuff.

Yes, it is difficult to read someone from a beloved pairing with someone else, but this is the first time I have dared try it with Lily/James. I guess I am just sappy, but they're are the pairing from the series that just gets me. I'm not that great at explaining it. Their story is just so beautiful and I love Marauder era fic and general pondering.
