It's...wow...it's amazing. It's very intense and the writing is powerful. I know it's not your normal style, but it's good none the less. You should do more of this from-the-gut-POV more often, hon.
Ans the angst! Oh, the angst! I really loved it. And the idea of the date was a good one, really. It sounds so in character it's unbelievable!
You, little genius! <3

Thank you, babe! As long as you and Ria like it, I like it. I was a touch worried last night after I posted it.

"They're going to think I'm nuts. What is this?" LOL

It's definitely fun to write in this style, but there's a lot of rehashing too, like the time and the blood in this one. It's all Brian can really focus on. I guess as long as you read it accepting that Brian is in shock and not in his right mind, it'll be fine. :)

I'm not sure what other scene would demand this sort of from-the-gut POV. Maybe the bombing. Hmm, I'd have to think about it!

Also, I really sort of want to write the date as a sequel to this fic, hehe. It would definitely be a challenge to get it to work and be in character, but it's possible.

This is brilliant! And, it couldn't have been "eloquent" because there was nothing eloquent about that scene. It was raw and terrifying and you captured it beautifully!
