Plot Bunnies Are The Very Worst

Apr 03, 2012 14:46

I've been trying so hard not to start a new Brian/Justin series until TAC is closer to being done. But damn, this is difficult. Is it plot bunny hunting season yet? How does everyone else deal with their untameable plot bunnies? Since I've never worked on a WIP before, I've never had to fight so hard against them. But now I feel totally screwed ( Read more... )

I'm not much into AUs so out of the ones you mention #1 seems like the one I'll read most likely although with your writing skills, I may check out 2 as well. I cannot do RPS and the only fandom I can read Mpreg in (it's more or less canon there) is Torchwood. So if you're going to venture into these AUs, I'm putting my two cents in for #1 and #2 :D

AUs can definitely be tricky to get readers invested in. 1 sounds the most interesting to me, but it might have to be one I start later in the year when I've read more history books on the time period. I'd really like to get things right if I'm doing a historical AU.

RPS weirds me out, which is why making Brian and Justin actors instead of writing Gale and Randy somehow makes me feel less freaked out. I can't explain it. Still borderline RPS, of course, but without all the guilt and creepiness that can come with reading it sometimes, lol.

Anything you write will be great. Just go where your muse takes you, dear.

All the TAC fans will understand. = D

What would Brian do....? LoL

Thank you, hon! <3 Everyone's support really does mean so much to me. Whether the TAC fans will understand is maybe a whole different thing, though, lol. I hate delaying the story any more than it already is with these giant chapters.

Brian would...well, Brian would probably live by his "no apologies, no regrets" philosophy, lol.

I am reading TAC over on FanFic.net. I don't roam "fandom" anymore and seldom comment in "fandom". But, I couldn't help wonder what your ETA for an update might be. I never read WIP's because I hate waiting for new chapters. Hence, why I wandered over to your LJ. As it is 4/20 and the last update was 4/4 :( As I mentioned I avoid WIP's mostly because I can't stand when an author abandons a story, or opens 101 new stories all at once and has difficultly updating them all in a timely manner. Something always takes a "backseat" and it is usually something I'm reading :) Could you please tell me when you think you may update TAC? Thanks so much.

Trust me when I say that I completely understand the frustration, and thanks for liking TAC enough to take to time to ask about it. I won't be abandoning or pushing TAC to the backseat anytime soon. It is my priority fic at the moment, and you'd be surprised how much other stuff has been put aside just for it, lol.

ETAs are a little bit difficult, but I can try my best. At this point, I'm about a third of the way through the chapter. The good news is that it's a fairly short one, so I'd say give me another week to wrap it up. Depending on what's going on with my beta, it could be up really quickly after I finish or it could take a few more days on top of that.

Regardless, I'll try my best to keep the wait short!
