Something of a Note

I just thought I'd post here, especially for those of you that follow me for my QAF fic, that I'm going to put the Sex-A-Thon project on a brief hiatus so that I can work on Three's A Crowd. It's getting a tad overwhelming, especially when I try to squish 8 more fics into what's left of February. I don't want to rush because rushed fics are crappy ( Read more... )

Thanks for the information. It would be great if you would give us the next "urchin-moment" in February.
Happy writing and take care!

Thanks, Pet! And don't think I've forgotten your drabble either. I have the whole thing plotted out. It's just a matter of putting it into words now. :)

Yeah, I haven't been able to really touch it in the past two or three weeks because of the sex-a-thon fics. So I'll probably pick it up this weekend and see if I can't churn out a couple thousand words. :) I don't know if I'll manage to have a February installment--depends on how much Brian behaves!--but at the latest an early March chapter for sure.

I just figured that the sex-a-thon are just one-shots that no one is really waiting for, but TAC has a lot of readers and I feed bad, lol. Plus, I'm getting drained from all this smut! Of course, there's smut in the next TAC chapter, so I probably shouldn't rejoice too much, lol.

I would be beyond drained if I were the one doing all this smut-writing. Of course the only way THAT would happen would be if someone were holding a gun to my head because I find writing smut about the most difficult thing in the world. :)

Writing smut is legitimately one of the most difficult things I've had to write. It takes a ton of practice (and some very big balls sometimes, lol) and a definite hyper-awareness of diction and sentence structure. I can honestly never lose myself in a sex scene like I can in a scene where I explore someone's feelings or reaction. That could just be me, though. :) But you're definitely not alone.
