Thanks! :-) That's so true about paintings...much better in person! (It's always such a challenge, to get good pics!)

BEAUTIFUL!!! is it a triptych, or is that just how you have it "laid out" on the computer?

gorgeous!!...the depth of color, the texture, flow...
6 feet long...wow! have you always worked so large or has it been a progression for you?
i can see that it would be a totally different experience than working smaller - bigger muscles groups used, more freedom
i would like to work large one day.,,

I started painting "BIG" during the summer of 2002. I was visiting my Mom in California (who is also an artist). She had me do tons of "loosening up" excercises in her studio, so that I wouldn't be uptight about letting the paint "flow". We kept painting on a progression of larger sized canvases. I worked all the way up to a gigantic abstract on a 4 FT by 10 FT canvas! (Which I have hanging above my couch as a daily reminder of the extreme rush of freedom I felt while painting that huge!) :-)

I often work in the 6ft size range for Ebay pieces. I enjoy that size a lot...lately it has been feeling "small", though! ;-)
