Wow these are great. I know that they are parts of larger pieces but I would love to see the 3rd one down and the last one as paintings as you have cropped them! Wonderful!
I'll go see what I can dig up...the 3rd one down will be a tough one to share...because it's one that I thought was AMAZING and tried to sell it over and over again...and finally ended up painting over it while freraking out and crying! :-0 Bad memories...
Gosh I can't imagine you covering that over. If that ever happens again, just set it aside. Things always come around. Sorry that you went through that. I just looked at these again and they are absolutely brilliant! I love the colors. They almost look as though they are done on cloth!
Thanks! This is the stuff I was creating...a year to a year and a half ago. I think it's funny that I'm returning to it...there are a lot of weird/bad memories of rejection connected to this work. But- I also wasn't marketing them right and my compositions have become stronger over the last year...so should have a better time, exploring/ sharing/ selling art that is in this style. I really LOVE painting like this...it's very fun and experimental! :-)

i went to go buy somme interference red paint today and came home with 11 tubes. full price, but then he gave me a 20% discount.
he had some large gallery wrapped canvases too in the 20 to 30 dollar range. I think i will just do that for awhile and then when I have more of a sense of what I am doing I will do a big order. though I would like to get some fluids... still, I can add glazing liquid to the paint and then a ton of water.
Happy to hear that you'll be painting today!!! :-) I'm on a cleaning binge...busy throwing out crap that we've been hoarding- YUCK!!! Sucks...because our artforms benefit from our hoarding...but enough is enough!!! I had been saving all sorts of "trash" with popular icons (McD's...Starbucks etc...) w/ plans on doing collage with them...but now they're official TRASH!!! So is a lot of other crap that I stuffed to the back of my drawers and cabinets- GONE!!! :-0
