Jaejoong loves green tea.
Jaejoong loves this drink so much that he decides it’s the best thing in the world ever. He drinks like two bottles a day. He can’t resist it; he’s so weak against it. But Jaejoong doesn’t mind giving in; he likes green tea too much.
It started during his childhood. His mother would heal his pain with a cup of green tea. Since then, he has not lost his daily drinking habit. Jaejoong doesn’t mind being called a ‘green tea addict’ but he doesn’t agree though, for drinking green tea is like drinking water to him. Yes, he’s already used to that.
Jaejoong is now over his twenties and still drinks green tea; there’s no age he says.
His bandmates always see him with a little bottle of green tea; it is like a part of Jaejoong as cigarettes are a part of Yoochun, video games a part of Junsu, Bambi a part of Yunho and porn a part of Changmin. That’s just the way it is.
Yoochun was the first one to try, being curious about his soulmate’s habit. He thought he didn’t have anything to lose, so why not, he had said. First sip. He thought it was actually good. Second sip. He wouldn’t mind to drink this more. Third sip. He didn’t know why he never dared to drink this before.
Junsu was the next one to taste it. If Yoochun liked it, there was no way he wouldn’t like it. Yes, Junsu’s like that, being so easily influenced by his friends. So he tried with a first sip, then a second sip and drank his second cup of tea the minute after.
Jaejoong felt happy that his friends wanted to give it a try. It meant so much to him.
If Yoochun and Junsu had not forced Changmin to sit and drink, the latter would never try because Changmin is the lazy kind of guy. Since he had nothing better to do, he decided to take a sip of the drink that the three smiling faces in front of him had enjoyed so much. It’s okay, he thought. He wouldn’t mind drinking this if they had nothing left to drink.
The entire band ran on green tea since then. Well, TVXQ minus one to be precise.
Jaejoong thought that if four out of five members liked green tea, the last one would like it too. That was his theory though, not reality. When he joined their leader in the living room with a cup of green tea, he didn’t expect that the latter would refuse it nicely.
Just a sip, he had said. Just one sip and he’ll love it, Jaejoong thought. Yunho resisted, not knowing why his boyfriend was almost forcing him to drink this… thing. The second after, Jaejoong stood up, frowning -after putting the cup on the table.
“And why won’t Mr. Jung try at least a sip, huh?” he scolded.
“It looks weird that’s why!” Yunho retorted while standing up as well. “I’m sorry but I don’t trust a green liquid enough to drink it.”
“I could say the same to you. I don’t trust a black liquid enough to drink it!” Jaejoong spat at him.
“What on Earth are you even talking about?”
“Your unhealthy coke!”
With that, Jaejoong left the room and didn’t even bother to take his cup of tea back. Yes, Jaejoong was that affected.
The green tea lover decided to leave the place; he was still mad at his Yunnie. Just a try wouldn’t have killed him. Even Changmin had accepted… Jaejoong wouldn’t mind if leader-sshi didn’t like the tea actually -even if he hoped he would.
Jaejoong loved green tea so much that he needed to drink a cup as soon as possible; he knew it would calm his anger. It worked every single time. He returned home and found Yoochun and Junsu in the kitchen, chatting while drinking his green tea. Jaejoong felt so happy.
After taking his nth cup of tea of the day, Jaejoong decided he needed to apologize to his leader. The latter hadn’t moved since their argument and Jaejoong noticed the cup was empty. With a widened smile, he embraced his boyfriend, who was not expecting but didn’t complain about the hug he received.
“You finally drank it,” Jaejoong murmured, a huge smile on his lips.
“I did,” the other man smiled as well. “I hope you would like to try coke now.”
“Yeah… I guess. Did you like it?”
And when Yunho didn’t reply but hugged him tighter instead, Jaejoong chuckled. No, he wasn’t mad at him, because at least he tried it.
