Summary : When little Yunho invited his best friend to decorate his Christmas tree, the latter couldn't say no!

A little black-haired boy was playing with his puzzles, obliged to stay at home since it was really cold outside. He wanted to play with snow though but his mother would punish him, that’s for sure. Just the thought of being slapped on the butt made him shiver. He got bored and started to draw (he’ll ask Santa for new pencils). A few minutes later, his mom called him and he joined her in the living room. She handed him the telephone.
“Hello?”
“Hey Joongie, it’s Yunnie!” another boy spoke cheerfully.
“Hi Yunnie!” the said Joongie smiled widely when he heard his best friend’s voice.
“Do you want to come to my house? We can decorate the Christmas tree!”
“For real?!” little Jaejoong exclaimed, really excited.
“Hm hm! Ask your mommy okay?”
The two friends hung up and Jaejoong rushed to his mother. As usual, she agreed. Mrs. Kim asked him if he didn’t mind bringing his sisters with him. The little boy reacted right away, frowning.
“No!! Yunnie invited Joongie! Only Joongie!”
Angry little Jaejoong was really something… His mother chuckled at his son and they both got dressed before asking the elder daughter to keep an eye on the other children. As soon as Mrs. Kim finished talking with her, the little boy yelled something like ‘’rry up! Yunnie waits!!’ He even took her hand and brought her to the door. Man, that kid was really excited to leave the house!
About two minutes later, they finally reached Yunho’s house and little Jaejoong didn’t even bother to wave goodbye to his mother; he just ran to the door.
“Hello Jaejoong. Come on in, it’s freezing!” Mrs Jung greeted him. “Yunho is in the living room.”
The little boy took his shoes off, his scarf as well and handed the lady his coat before rushing to the said room. He immediately saw his best friend in front of a huuuuge tree. He ‘aww-ed’ -his wasn’t that big- and smiled at his buddy. ‘Hey Yunnie!’ When he walked towards him, he noticed that Jihye was playing with cubes. She had a hair-band with two little deer horns. It was so funny!
“Hey Joongie! Come on!” little Yunho called his friend.
“She looks so cuuuute~” the other boy started to giggle as he started to touch the horns, making the little girl giggle as well.
Yunho saw red, that wasn’t the first time that his sister would catch his Joongie’s attention. He frowned, crossed his little arms on his chest and pouted. He called him another time but his best friend was busy playing with Jihye. That was so unfair. He threw a ball on the floor because of anger and his mother ran right away into the living room.
“Yunho! What happened?” she asked with concern.
“It slipped out of my hand,” he lied.
“Be careful, okay?” Mrs Jung told him when she picked the pieces of the crystal ball.
When the lady left the room, little Jaejoong walked towards his friend. The latter turned his back, still angry.
“Hey Yunnie, are you hurt?”
“Why do you care?” little Yunho replied with a pout. “Go play with Jihye, ‘she’s so cuuuuute~’,” he imitated him, making a face.
Jaejoong widened his eyes, turned his Yunnie and took his hand. ‘No angry Yunnie, okay?’ he murmured before kissing him on the cheek. ‘Come on! Let’s decorate the tree! Haha~’ The other little body blushed and smiled, while picking the box with all the Christmas ornaments. At the same time, his best friend brought a chair.
Fortunately for them, Mr Jung already put fairy lights; they just had to do the rest, even the nativity scene! So much work to do, but both of them were really happy to do that all by themselves.
Little Jaejoong climbed on the chair and started to hang blue tinsel on the tree while his best friend kept an eye on him, in case he would fall. The latter handed him a few baubles -such as red, green and yellow Christmas balls, little presents etc-, and they finished the upper part of the tree.
“Jo-Joongie!” Jihye stuttered when she handed him a little silver star.
The said Joongie turned to see the little girl and thanked her. Meanwhile, a frown appeared on Yunho’s face. Did Jihye do this on purpose? Of course she did! He took the object of his sister’s hand suddenly.
“You stay away! It’s not for babies!”
“Yunnie, you’re mean!” Jaejoong said when Jihye started to sob. “You play with your cubes, okay?” he added softly as he patted her little head.
Little Yunho got angry for the second time. It was really unfair; it was him who invited Joongie! He let out a heavy sigh and hung other Christmas balls on the tree. His friend took his arm and shook it. ‘What?’ little Yunho asked in a bad mood. ‘Yunnie has to apologize!’ The said Yunnie put his hands on his waist and pouted.
“Ha! You wish!”
“Yunnie!” Jaejoong frowned, imitating his friend -but a bit scarier.
The other boy groaned and murmured something like ‘Sorry… Hey! She didn’t even hear!’ His best friend told him as long as he said the magic word, it was okay. He kissed him on the cheek again and hung the last red Christmas ball. The two children stepped back to admire their tree. They clapped in their hands and when Jihye clapped as well, Yunho didn't say a thing, he was too happy.
“Oh! We have to create the nativity scene!” little Jaejoong gasped, he almost forgot this little detail!
He immediately knelt down at the foot of the tree when his best buddy brought the décor and all the little Christmas crib figures and… little soldiers? The little black haired boy laughed loudly when his best friend told him it was to keep the baby safe. Yunho added a lot of little sheep, making Jaejoong die of laughter. ‘It’s not a farm! Haha~ You’re so funny Yunnie!’
The little boys finally finished the nativity scene after a lot of playing with the little people. They did their best to hide little Christ and stopped their activities. Stars in their eyes, they both looked at the tree again; they were so proud of themselves!
Before leaving Yunho’s house, Jaejoong hugged his Yunnie tightly before apologizing (even if he wanted to invite him to decorate his tree, it would be impossible with all of his sisters). Little Yunho kissed him on the cheek as an answer and helped him to get dressed. The minute later, his Joongie finally went to his car.
