“Mrs. Hudson!” shouted Lestrade, jogging down the stairs. “Do you know where-“

Mrs. Hudson appeared at the foot of the stairs, sniffling and dabbing at her eyes with a tissue, and Lestrade’s stomach dropped, as he imagined all sorts of scenarios: hostage-takings, snipers, bombings.

“What’s happened?” he asked, fearfully, walking slowly down the stairs until he was standing next to her and wondering why no one had rung him if something had happened to Sherlock and John, or had the crime not been reported yet--

“Mr. Chatterjee has another wife!” wailed Mrs. Hudson, and burst into sobs all over his chest.

“...Oh,” said Lestrade, awkwardly.
