I'm doing good thanks. I know I really need to update my LJ. Because I'm on summer vacation from school I've been flitting around staying away various places and not seeming to have a lot of evenings to myself to update.

I'm feeling much happier with life at the moment, which is a very good thing. The holidays have been great for just giving time for fun and relaxation - two very vitally missing elements in my life recently!

The judge did all the questioning, although I'm sure the attorneys submitted the questions. And would be the defender would want me, since I raised my hand to say I thought marijuana should be legal.

They went around and had us each stand up and answer a personal questionnaire - in front of everyone else. I was surprised no one balked at this. Anyhow, they asked what shows we watch, what magazines/newspapers we read (a sad number of people answered this one with "none"), and the last question was "Do you have any bumper stickers and if so, what do they say?" All of my answers were basically painting me as a loud-mouthed anti-government liberal :-) Yeah, there was no way I was getting picked. Which is fine.

And I stocked up on the Dr. Horrible icons :-)

I tend to get thrown off juries as soon as I tell them that I assume both lawyers and all the witnesses are going to be lying or mistaken and that I will only consider physical forensic evidence valid. (All of which is completely true. I don't trust people's perception or memories.)

All of my answers painted me as a loud-mouthed liberal with lots of political opinions - there was no way I was getting picked. But I'm going to give your answer to my husband if he ever has jury duty - that sounds like his kind of response anyhow.
