And once again it's snowing in Atlanta - those of you living in cold climates would be terribly amused by the OMG!!!111 panic that sets in if anything resembling snow hits the forecast.

My mom-in-law made it in on Thursday from Ohio, and has been having fun playing with Luna. The real reason she came down (I haven't seen her in a year) is to see the ( Read more... )

I think maybe two stalks of celery might be too much, as well. And maybe fresh garlic would have helped? I think I might have used fresh last time... oh well! Let me know how it turns out :-)

IANAL, but in my meager understanding a subpoena means you gotta show. Ignore it, and the judge might issue a bench warrant if (s)he's feeling grumpy.

If the party that got the subpoena isn't a dickhead, you can negotiate the place and time of the deposition. Or you can get a lawyer and try to quash the subpoena, but neither you nor they want that level of hassle. That's why they'll negotiate.

That's my comment on the law. I'd love to try your recipe, but not today. My comment on the weather is that I'm gonna go back to bed and pull the covers over my head. The Authorities are telling us to stay indoors, and who am I to argue?

My neighbors have sleds. Actual sleds. And they're using them.

It's like it's winter or something! Bizarre.

It must be nice to have a sister who is a lawyer. My dad deals in contracts and that comes in handy every now and then.

How was Cloverfield?

I'm a bit late on this but is Canton House the restaurant in Plaza Fiesta? I googled it and saw that it is on Buford Hwy. It's the best dim sum I have found in Atlanta so far!

I don't think it's in a Plaza - it's pretty much a building of its own. Big yellowish/orangeish building. It's fabulous!
