Saving The Mead

So, in late 2004, I was a perhaps over-enthusiastically Wiccan meadmaker, and I vowed to make a batch of mead, appropriately flavored for each of the Sabbats. Time passed, layoffs happened, and I started all eight of those meads. Heh--I saw the spectre of memory rot looming in the distance, based on my experience with other crafts, like knitting.

As I brew with two old friends of mine, and we're all geeks, I set up a wiki on my server for the three of us to record things like "what we did when" and "why this sucked". Handy, trivially updatable for any of us, and more concentrated knowledge than LJ (which is not built for searching, really).

I'm sure I noted down how much honey I added. Unfortunately, it wasn't any place where I looked yesterday. From the rise in specific gravity, ProMash suggests it was at least 8.5 pounds of honey; more if any of it actually fermented.
