According to my doctor, I have caught the stomach flu/food poisoning bug of doom. For the last forty eight hours, life has been nothing but a slow, rotating trek from the bed ... to the bathroom ... back to bed again.

And it was far past dinnertime before the last of the visitors had left. Sophie plopped herself down in the chair by the fire, and propped her chin up on the palm of her hand. Michael had gone to bed, finally (with a smile as wide as the day was long ... he had spent the day with Martha, thankfully, and had been nowhere near the castle). The kitchen had quieted down. Howl was in the bathroom, no doubt fussing with his hair, which left Sophie blessfully alone with Calicifer.

"How's life as a celebrity?" Calcifer asked.

"I liked fighting the witch of the waste, more," she said. "I feel drained ... the whole day, people just talking at me. And I know what that feels like ... I spend enough time talking at things, you know. And it was like that ... people talking at me, wondering how I'll turn out now the "story" is over. It's like I'm a sort of fashion or a custom ... like a hat. Or a garden. Whether I will be Howl's wife. Or the heroine in the next story. Or ... drat it all. And the thing is

Hee, I saved this up to read as a treat for the end to my day (which was long and tiring, alas) and whee, was it worth it! XD I love love love...especially the way they understand without speaking at the end:

Sophie sighed.

"You better have cleaned up after yourself up there," she finally muttered.

"Oh, I know you'll do it for me," Howl had said. "But Sophie, if there is anything ... about yesterday ..."

He reached toward her hair, touching the red locks. "I mean ... about ..."

That gesture--so very Howl & Sophie and so very sweet. Oh, this was exactly what I wanted! <3 Thank you Muri~!

Ask away! Who knows, maybe it'll inspire my next 31_days fic. XD I already intend to write Hikaru no Go for at least one of the themes, and it shall definitely be dedicated to you. ^_____^

I read about your day. WOW! It sounds very overwhelming, especially to someone who has little to know scientific background like me. But ... hehehe ... at least you're making progress!

Mmm. My question ... you want a Hikaru no Go question? I was thinking throwing another HOwl one at you, but ... *thinks* Hmmm.

Well, I've always wondered about the Korean pros. Especially Ko Yongha. And I've always wondered what he and Akira would say to each other, if they ever had a moment alone (and even if they could play an informal game together) ... and especially since Akira was the one who was supposed to play Yongha originally in the tournament. (I also wonder if they would put the clues together about Sai). XD At the very least, I bet Shindo would be the uppermost in their thoughts ... (snerk).

Oh, I wouldn't have minded a Howl question either. But I like this question, writing Yeongha fic will certainly be new and interesting! Er, I can't get to this right away (due to the realities of laundry and 31_days and catching up on sleep after a weekend of work) but I will sit down and write something as soon as I get some breathing space. ^_^

Dude ... hehee, no rush on the question. You're doing a awesome job on the 31 days thing ... and I know you're busy. *stares at the description of your life in your LJ* Dude. I'm so glad the experiments are turning out okay! I wish I understood what was going on more. *G* But I'm more of a literary geek.
