I'm somewhat with you on kidlet fics--though I must have read dozens of it in another fandom, back in the days when I was fanatical about Gundam Wing. Heh. Sometimes I feel like writing a kidlet fic where the kid was totally boring and not half as interesting as his/her powerful/capable canon-character parents.

But some people just have an urge to make children, huh? One way or the other. What gets to me more are the fics where canon characters are de-aged, or scenes of canon characters as children. It's just never... gah.

Hope the writing with Better Days continues smoothly!

Well, literary children are easier to manage. You can turn off the computer and they go away. XD And they're someone else's headache. But I would DEFINITELY read a fic about Touya and Hikaru having kids who were perfectly normal and boring

Good god. I'll forever be in awe of the way you can dash off fic like that, and make it so fantastic. That struck just the right note, of genius-meets-genius, but no mental connection. All they have is a familial tie, and that's pretty weak compared to the connection that Hikaru expects from someone who has the same intensity as him.

You, my dear, are a genius in your own right. Never worry about writing drabbles like that. I want to write drabbles like that!

Yeah, it's not a kidlet fic in that it doesn't revolve around the kids--I sort of created them to be kidnapped... -_-() so they can't be super!geniuses and end up rescuing themselves or something, since I wanted Hikaru and Akira to do the heroics.

Maybe that's why they turned out normal. :P

XD Nah, I think it's because you're very good at managing your characters. And they felt like they needed to be in the fic, that's why it didn't stick out like a sore thumb like most kidlet fics. ^___^ But I would read a kidlet fic by you. honest.
