Annoyingly, the strawberries I bought yesterday afternoon, which have a use-by date of tomorrow have sneakily gone off. Bah. Serves me right for buying them out of season, I suppose, but I manage to rescue all but about five of them, and am eating them now, drizzled in chocolate, courtesy of some slightly microwaved Phish Food. See, I knew Finding Himself would push all the right buttons for you. Especially seeing how you are one of my favourite Hufflepuffs and Hufflepuff afficionados. *hugs* Very glad you enjoyed it. It's such a thoughtful, fleshed-out, exciting story.

I don't think I'll have time to reply to your email until after the weekend -- this week's been kicking my ass :(! and I get a much-loved visitor to stay in the weekend :)! -- but could you do me a big favour and read the journal entry with the fic draft one more time this week (by Friday) and see if you have comments to my last edits? It's mostly the thing about Harry you suggested that I have changed a bit, and maybe there were a couple of other things. You can leave a comment to the entry to say it's okay or suggest any improvements. I'd be ever so grateful. :)

Hey, no problem. I shall give Harry my attention at lunchtime. Assuming I get one; my morning looks like wall to wall meetings and dentist right now. But it'll make Harry and the others a bit of light relief afterwards!

And another one! Actually this one's more Robert Pattinson than Cedric Diggory, but either way he's too cute. *g*

I hope the meetings and not least the meeting with the dentist weren't too bad. And as for the last beta check, as long as you can do it by the weekend there's no pressing need before that. :)

One of the meetings got cancelled. And this week's dental visit was to the Evil Hygienist, so it drew blood, but was otherwise comparatively painless. Ha!

Robert is indeed very cute. Of course, he's still at the age where you change a bit so it'll be interesting to see what he looks like in a few years time.

There's definitely nothing wrong with having three different versions of how Cedric might have lived. :-) I've finished my re-read of Goblet of Fire now, and the whole episode with Cedric's death just seemed harder to get past for me this time; perhaps because my previous re-read was about a year before the movie came out, and even if I view the movies as a special kind of fanfic rather than canon, having actors inhabit the parts does flesh them out somewhat, especially for the minor characters.

It's only too easy to see how Hermione and Cedric could grow to like each other, if only circumstances permitted them to meet for long enough. She speaks well of him early in GoF, when his name is first mentioned as a possible candidate for Hogwarts Champion, and I would guess that that's simply an approval from having seen him around, being fair and decent and prefectly ( ... )
