After reading your comments, I wandered over and now feel compelled to comment.:)

Love the hummingbird. I've done the Dimensions Sweet Nectar from what I'm guessing is the same designer. That's one I have yet to frame because I want it round or octagonal.

You've also started designing in the same manner I did. My first was a wedding invitation for a friend, where I designed an alphabet to match the font used. I've done a couple more since and in those cases, I steal the flowers from other patterns and simply change the color scheme to match my needs.:)

Oooh! That Sweet Nectar one is gorgeous! If I had the time I would stitch that up for my grandmother as well, even though I am probably burning her out on her favorite bird already, oops :)

Yeah, it's just so much easier to steal the decoration for the handmade patterns from elsewhere than to bother with it myself lol. I would have tried to make the font and everything a little more nice and everything with PC Stitch, but that program can be such a pain in the butt, especially since mine doesn't have backstitch capabilities. But I learned a lot from that card so it will help if I make anymore in the future.

And thank you such much for your comment!

I don't think I've ever tried out PC Stitch. What I tend to do for alphabets is to simply get the smallest graph paper I can find and design from there. I use a pre-existing alphabet that matches closely and makes tweaks so that it matches.

The only example I could find was the one I did for my cousin. It's not my best work and it's before I had a digital camera...thus the odd lines and tendency to not line up quite right in a couple of places.

Wow, that's incredible! That's look really pro, it's awesome. I am going to have to try that idea sometime, especially since it's so perfectly centered and everything. It also looks so much better than anything I've ever seen on PC Stitch!

Thanks! I was kind of worried that it whould look kind of hole-y there, but hopefully that's just because I know what's supposed to be there, so I hope she doesn't notice!
