I got Margaret Atwood when I submitted an essay I wrote for a philosophy class, where I basically ripped this bible-thumping guy a new one. I got an A on it. But I also write in short broken sentences. Kind of like her poetry.
I'm a big fan of Sylvia Plath, and I think my everyday "journal writing" is more like her. Well, her later free verse works. I think it's because I read her poems so often.

Also, I put in "Cross" by Langston Hughes and he writes like Vladimir Nabokov.
