Tell me again how this isn't about collective punishmentIf the Israelis were concerned about weapons or some other sort of dangerous material being transported aboard the ship, they could have boarded it rather than ramming it with the obvious intention of causing it to sink. I can't imagine that trained naval officers would have allowed the ships ( Read more... )

You are woefully misguided and ignorant about the situation at best. Most likely though, your comments are evidence of pure hatred and prejudice ( ... )

Something tells me that, given the fact that you're posting anonymously and spouting the typical "any criticism of the Israeli regime is anti-semitic" garbage, you're probably not somebody who wants to have a reasoned discussion of the facts. I really don't feel like getting into a "who lobbed bombs at whom, who crippled whose economy leaving them in a state of perpetual dependence" argument with somebody who can't even show their proverbial face. Suffice it to say that both sides have done things they should be condemned for, and if Israel is trying to argue that it shouldn't face criticism simply because it's better than Hamas then that's something that they should think long and hard about. It's like the US government saying that its "enhanced interrogation" policies are okay because at least they're not chopping people's heads off like Al Qaeda. There's a reason why pretty much every democratic nation on the planet with the exception of the United States and Israel has condemned Israel's actions here.

Why should anyone listen to anything you say you coward, you post here anonymously so no one can challenge your bigoted opinion. You obviously feel the life of a Palestinian is worth far less than the life of an Israeli. Only 2 Israelis were killed before Israel overreacted and started indiscriminately killing people. Since the Israeli assault began hundreds of innocent Palestinians have died. If that's what you call trying to avoid civilian casualties, I don't want to see what would happen if Israel actually tried to kill civilians. Israel has proven over and over again that they don't care who they kill. They tear down houses burying the people inside. They shoot missiles into crowds of children to kill one Hamas member. If the best you can come up with is that Hamas is worse, you're an idiot. Hamas is a terrorist organization, Israel is a country, Israel should really strive for more than simply being a bit less repugnant than a brutal terrorist organization. Sadly, sometimes I think they don't even accomplish that.
