A day of snowbound leisure

We honestly don't have that much snow, maybe 3 inches or so. The problem is, the roads suck. Of course, that isn't so much a problem for me :) It makes me laugh to have so little snow and to already have chorus rehearsal canceled! I have to support it, though. I think some of the ladies probably shouldn't be driving on these roads, and who's ( Read more... )

It was reminding me of Pullman yesterday too. Its funny because Bill was talking about how life over here stops with a little snow, but in Pullman we just kept going.

I heard someone compare three inches of snow in Seattle to a foot in NYNY. Shared that with Bill and he was unsympathetic to the people in Seattle. He's rather unsympathetic to me too, which hurt my feelings a bit, but I'll deal with that later. I shouldn't whine since he has to keep going out and working in this weather, but all the same, if he could stay home, wouldn't he? I was feeling bad enough about my decision anyway, so I think that might just be my own issue.

Sorry to unload all of a sudden! I will be going downtown today, wish me luck! I think M&D and I are all going. We need groceries. Out of Cottonelle wet wipes and milk; two VERY important items! ;)

Well, Bill can kiss my behind :) (not literally, of course!!!) Dude, the STATE DOT told people not to drive! That's not the Seattle DOT, but the DOT for the entire STATE! He can be unsympathetic all he wants, but in Pullman they send out plows and sanders and salters when it snows. In Seattle, I know we have such equipment (I know I saw plows a few times when I was a kid), but they can't get out fast enough to be of any use in a storm. And by the time they get it together the snow melts. Sorry, Bill, not all of us can be manly Snow Supermen.

There you go, my scathing retort ;) And he should be nice to you. Having no sympathy comes dangerously close to lacking compassion. Have fun getting groceries!

You know, I was kinda thinking that too. (The kiss my ass bit)

His rational was he does his best to get through the snow until he actually gets stuck or prevented in some way, because it might get worse, and then were would he be? I think he's concerned about how it would look to others or something.

This is all part of his over developed work-ethic thing which annoys the Hell out of me in general.

I haven't mentioned that he hurt my feelings to him yet because I had something else more important to deal with. See my next post for that.

Hey there, since we share mutual friends (Jen, Hillary, Devon, and Becky) can I add you to my friends list? (This is Kristin by the way, I don't know if I've ever come up in conversation or not, but I've heard about you!). :)
