Huzzah! 'tis awesomeday! Gather 'round and bring the shiny! Let's pile it so high that Daedalus feels the need to swerve around it! Here's mine

I got a lot accomplished at work today, am THRILLED about the weather, made delicious zucchini/carrot bread with dried peaches, and did some belly dancing tonight!
What's the personal finance book, if you don't mind me asking? Financial savvy is one of my biggest goals.
doh. I hit anter too soon. I forgot the important part. Yay for being productive and that bread sounds really tasty!! Not to mention, creative! I wouldn't have thought to combine all those things in one bread!
(whoa - my brain just suggested cutting up those super spiffy trader joes spicy chocolate covered dried mangoes into a quick bread! Good idea or horrible one? I can't quite tell!)

Totally with you on the best of both worlds bit! (Though I can no longer hear that phrase without thinking of the movie Clerks.) In season tomatoes are the Best Things on Earth!
all of my classes were quiet, cooperative, and got stuff done today. it was amazing.
also, i am seriously thinking of instituting awesomeday at work (you know, inflicting it upon the kidlings). how would you feel about me stealing it like that?
Cooperative classes? That is a miracle! (The size of the miracle depends on the age - what age are you teaching, and did you say kidlings?? I thought you were horribly allergic to them!)
And go for it -- awesomeday appears to have been contagious anyway. A friend did it on her blog instead of here, and several of her friends are doing it on a regular basis. So if you managed to teach the next generation to look for the good in things, then hell, I'm officially proud & flattered & I've officially been a good influence!

Some of the comments about co-opting awesomeday made me want to share this: when I'm stressed- I compliment people.
Nothing fakey- or overly invasive of their personal space. But strangers. "Hey, neat coat/sweater/boots." "Beautiful dog!" "I love that color purple!" Little random things. Doesn't always get me calmed all the way down, but does take the manic edge off.

I'd offer to lend it, but I'm using it pretty actively (ie, referencing something in it a couple of times a week.)

I love that it's cooler weather, and zucchini and tomatoes are still in season. Best of both worlds.
Also: football season! Hanging out with people and yelling at football players is the best ever.
Got lots of books to read.
Going to do a fun interview tomorrow.
Also Wednesday is farmer's market day.
