Anti-viral diffuser, you say? Keeps you from getting sick, you say?

This is highly relevant to my interests. Especially as no amount of saying "I have a compromised immune system, please do not come over if you're sick" seems to get through to people. If you'd like a second test case, I would happily buy/trade one from you.

Uh... awesome things. About a third of our dinner last night came out of my garden, the floor in my office doesn't need to be replaced after all, and I've lost 15 pounds!

Spiffy! I don't have a diffuser, but I've been wanting one, and this is as good an excuse as any to buy one. :)

Hmm. Awesome things? Let's see.

My brain got jump-started on the fic I got hijacked (read: volunteered) into writing.

3 day weekend after only two days of work this week.

Awesome dinner tonight because of restaurant week. At least, I hope it will be awesome. (PS, NYC Restaurant "week" actually lasts until the end of the month. You should make your sweeties utilize that knowledge. ;-) )

Welcome confetti sibling and thank you for your donation of glee! :) 3 day weekend after 2 days of work is pretty damn cool indeed!

Re: fic -- I read yours & the remix the other day. Fun! I rarely read fic these days (usually because once I start I lose between a day and 2 weeks of productivity), so that was a nice bite-sized bit of fun. :)

*grin* yeah, I know what you mean. I've mostly stopped reading novel-length fics. I just have a couple that I'm impatiently waiting on updates for. And god knows I can't write anything that long... That's why I like fests and exchanges - you get a whole bunch of short to mid-length fics to pick and choose from, especially something like remix, which is self-limiting in that I simply don't *know* a lot of the fandoms covered.

Even the shorter ones pull me in. They're like eating one pringle. Must have another! and another! The two you posted were nice & self limiting, so was able to save them to the treo and read them AWAY from the main computer.

more yay for the week! dr_brundle July 23 2009, 19:54:26 UTC
I love this weekly awesomeness thing - so that is the first awesome thing!

-The SO and I built an exercise bike at our home last weekend and I have ridden twice this week - and it was kinda fun! And I have more energy.

-My friend who's a composer is debuting some new songs this weekend. He plans to record an album and he wants me to sing on it...!

-I discovered that facebook is actually ...chatty now! It's cool to read about what people are up to, and the comment feature is awesome!

-I seem to be entering social, reaching out to people mode rather than stressed and gotta hide from the world mode. Cool!

:) Huzzah, and welcome to awesomeday! Thank you for being part of the happy!

I'm so glad you enjoy it -- someone's got to be a force for shiny-happy-goodness in this world, and it might as well be me. :)

And yay for non-exploding eyeballs! They're not nearly as cool as Mel Kelly thinks they are... (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/shaenongarrity/narbonic_plus/series.php?view=archive&chapter=39622&name=narbonic_plus).

Belated awesome is allowed, yes?

Yesterday one of the chiros I work for grumped at an empty room that he wanted a system where he could find the gown he needed just by reaching in an grabbing it, dammit! The other chiro (aka his wife) said that she was planning on getting bins/trays but hadn't had a chance. I told them I'd take a crack at it. So I sorted gowns, and stacked them alternating direction by size (so all in one stack the XLs are side-to-side, then the Ls are front-to-back, then the Ms are side-to-side, etc.). It didn't take up very much more space, you could see at a glance how many of each size were clean and folded, and you could grab what you wanted. Easy, free.

So today I showed complaining-chiro what I had done, and he said "simple, elegant, no clutter! I like it, thank you!" *bask* Yay me!

Belated awesome is ALWAYS allowed. Huzzah and thank you for bringing your tale of shiny!

And three cheers for putting the native virgo talent to work! But.. chiro? Am confused, are you working for chiropractors now? Or is there something blatantly obvious I've forgotten?

Thought I mentioned in June, may not have. Further attempting to keep our lives afloat, I took a part time job at my chiropractor's office. We three get seen for free, plus I get paid for 9 hours/week of work. So spending less and making more feels pretty good. Plus her specialty is infertility, pregnancy, pediatric, so it's a very good population for me. I'm just doing front office crud, so it's a nice break from my real job. lol.

You may or may not have - I was fairly distracted with general silliness, OMG-CUTE-BABY-ADD-ness, and geeking out over ASL. I was having trouble following any of the conversations given that usually at least 2 were happening at once. Plus, y'know, CUTE BABY MONSTER!

Sounds like an interesting experience at least, and hey, paid health care = good! I bet you're learning about the practice's population from an entirely different perspective.
