My brother is winging his way back to the midwest as we speak, after a brief but excellent visit. I don't know if I've convinced him to move to San Diego, but I let him know I was trying. And I got him to change his home zip code on LinkedIn to mine, so at least he'll get leads for potential new gigs here, where his skills are very much in demand. ( Read more... )

Sounds like Bro42's visit was amazing (except for the fungi being bad tenants of your GI tract). I hear you on the gift_fest front. My own is marinating in my hindbrain right now, in the hopes that something awesome gels, to replace my original inclination.

I am excited to be writing, I just feel that my water table is critically low. It's nice not to have a word limit, since more often than not, the idea runs away from me when I write it out. But hopefully a bit of respite from feeling like I Should Be Doing Something At All Times will help.
