~smooch~ I really can't think of it as an ending when there will be so many wonderful exchange gifts to enjoy next month. But this will be the last HP movie I get to see in costume, so there's a bit of nostalgia.
Enjoy, m'dear :) I won't be going until a tad over a week from now, when my DH will be taking the day off and the babysitter already is lined up for the afternoon. Dear fellow, he was the one who made it possible for me to attend the midnight film releases for HPB and DH, as well as the DH book release. It's only right I wait to see the last film with him :)
I love that your DH is going to go with you! Mr. 42 has given up on the films, but I'm sure he'll end up seeing the final film, probably when we get it on DVD to complete our set. However, his reluctance to go proved to be a blessing, since my friend only had one extra ticket. And I've now convinced everyone in our group to go in costume :D
Well, it's the last film, so it'll be the last time I get to go to a movie theatre in HP costume, but I'm certainly keeping all my costumes for future cons and dress-up holidays and parties! Besides, we're going to have 150 new stories/artses/craftses in a few weeks!
Going in costume and/or with other adults has always been my favorite part of seeing the movies, but this will be my first midnight showing. Can't wait!
Hee hee! Now I have something to sing while waiting for the first afternoon showing tomorrow. I just honestly didn't think I could stay fully awake for the midnight show and we could get dead center IMAX tickets tomorrow at 1PM. This, of course, means I will be wide awake until at least 3AM now. Enjoy the show!
In deference to my advanced age, I plan to take out my contacts for a few hours and may very well take a nap beforehand. Caffeine, which I rarely drink, is also an option. Dead center IMAX tickets midday sound thoroughly wonderful!
Yes, the contact lenses were definitely another concern for me. I hate 3D glasses over regular glasses and I needed my contacts in all day today. I'm figuring a nice lunch and some candy to munch for dessert in the movie and I am one happy little fangirl right up until they try to make us believe Snape isn't faking his own death.

I've never been to a HP film in costume and I've yet to make it to a con, but at least the latter is still an option :)
(and this time I hit the right link to post the reply...)
