maybe they're trying to spell something, like tell you about CGI. or say that you're supposed to go into the coast guard.

Maybe you should just get it taken out. You dont really need a throat and not having a neck would be fun. It would never get cold again...

don;t listen to her, necks are good things. and they provide a gateway from your mouth to your stomach.

the highway that is the digestions system.
rock on'.

Haha it's a good thing you replied Seano... I was taking Rachel's suggestion pretty seriously... until I realized that a neck-less life would also be a scarf-less life... and I kind of like scarves....

that sounds like what we call in the business a "medication error"

gargle (for at least 30 seconds) warm salt water two or three times a day and hydrate well while continuing your prescribed medication. It'll clear up faster.

Also, wash your nasty hands and stop infecting everyone.

I have very non-nasty hands, thank you :)

And weird, but I started being more obsessive about hand washing since I started school and now I'm sick.... I rarely, rarely would wash my hands in the past, and I never got sick.
Gross? Yes....
Possible correlation to having a kickass immune system (pre vet school)?... Maybe?

also, can Strep go away by itself? I feel a lot better, and I was supposed to start antibiotics this morning, so I'm a bit disinclined to undergo that whole wiping out my GI tract bacteria thing if I can avoid it....any thoughts?

Strep can clear by itself, and if you can go that route it's sometimes reccomended so that you avoid creating resistant bacteria, but if you need them you should certainly take them.

If you don't want to use the meds, drink plenty of water and still gargle warm salt water for the next few days. It will make it feel a little better and help kill the bacteria too. If you want, you could start eating yogurt once or twice a day to support your normal flora and help your immune system out, especially if you start the meds.

If it starts getting worse again though, I'd go ahead and take the meds dilligently as prescribed.

Call me if you want.
