Stressing over OPT
OPT= Other People's Toddlers. This weekend at a group camping event, I found myself close to snapping due to an OPT. The family seem to believe it takes a village to raise a child, so therefore everyone will be happy to protect their two and a half year old from fire pits, ditches, dogs and any other hazards he comes across.

I'm going to try doing a "day in the life" of me, as my daughter assures me it's not as boring as I think it is. So, stay tuned for a DITL of an agoraphobic stay at home mother and grandmother. Yes, you may start yawning now. I won't mind either.

Stevie Ray Sandy Scholarship Fund
Well, we're up to $2578 dollars! Thanks to so many caring and generous people! Stevie Ray is at Camp Oochigeas. I'm looking forward to showing him how much the fund is growing. He's probably the only kid looking forward to going to school this fall! Tanks again, and please share his story with your friends. -
Frustration with the school board.
As a bit of a back-up plan in case we're unable to raise the funds need for Stevie Ray to attend Metro Prep, I contacted my MPP in hopes he could bring to bear a bit more pressure on the Toronto District School Board. Yes folks, we're up to $475 now! This weekend we're going to an SCA event where we're holding a silent Auction. Look to see this fund grow even more thanks to the generous members of the Society for Creative Anachronism! The auction is held at Pikeman's. Hope to see plenty of our SCA friends there.
