We are getting a really late start, but better that than not at all, right?

It was just that I wrote what I thought was a very good letter to the administration asking them to allow me to take my two A/T classes on our wonderful field trips to Chicago. I really explained why and that it would be my last year to be able to do so. It only took them four hours to say no. I doubt that they really even read my letter well. They said that the two and a half hours on the bus are educationally unacceptable. I just want to smak those ridiculous administrators who can't see past their own ideas.

Then I had to explain it to my class I have now. They were upset BUT when I asked them how many would be willing to go on a Saturday only about 8 (out of 25) students raised their hands. It seems that mostly all they care about it *getting out of school*.

I gave up!

Aw, it's too bad you couldn't do the field trips during your last year there. I'm surprised at the kids' ambivalent attitude, though. Dumb kids. :(

I think that they probably have lots going on during the weekends... (at least let's hope that's the reason)
