Friday night/ Saturday morning

I just woke up a bit ago with a start. As usual I had fallen asleep in the big soft red chair. I heard a crash on the patio. I looked out the window and there was a raccoon out there knocking down the bird feeders. I don't want to mess with him though! Robert came to the rescue but by then he was gone. I'm very worried now though since the cat went ( Read more... )

As cute as racoons are, they can sure be messy and distructive! We don't have them here, but I have seen them wipe out a patio in minutes at my mom's!

I hope the the people in charge are aware of the way your daughter's co-workers behaved. They need to know that she is the one making sure things get finished around there. Of course, how to make that happen is a different story.... What a bunch of jerks!

Well, the little guy last night knocked down one feeder, spilling the seed all over the patio and then broke apart the feeder for the woodpeckers. The woodpeckers come every day. I hope it is fixable and that we have more of the feed that goes in there. :-(

Yes, he was cute looking staring down off the patio roof at me. But I know the TRUTH about him! *L* He came back after Robert and I went back to bed.

I think there are squirrel/raccoon proof feeders maybe? Seems I saw plans for making one somewhere.

Poor christinA. Her coworkers are kinda rude and thoughtless it seems.

*hehe*
I don't think that man is capable of making any feeder squirrel or raccoon proof! We've tried a lot of them. Those little rascals just are completely persistent and pretty much unstoppable!
We just sigh, repair, and refill.

The little raccoon staring down from the roof was just... well... cute. DARN HIM.

I just LOVE that icon Donna... so cute!

Thank goodness the cat's safe inside.
ChristinA shouldn't have to put up with that. grrrrr

I don't understand WHAT they were thinking with christinA. I just know that they really get her down and that's just not right. I don't like the people at the branch here in town. They just are not friendly and if you go into the office for some reason they act like you are really imposing on their time. christinA's "boss" should know better! He was one of my former students!

I try not to let Rudi go out at night because of all the critters, but he has a mind of his own (sneaky!) and sometimes manages to escape. When I called him after about five minutes he meowed to me and came right in. He's really good when he wants to be.

Do you have a lot of wooded areas around your home? We never see Raccoons around here ... I know they can be very destructive. ... but so darn cute!!! I'd probably get arrested for feeding them.

We do have a fair amount of trees and wooded areas.
You do NOT want to feed the raccoons or go near them because they also tend to carry rabies!
They are very cute though... little rats!
