what's in a name?

today i went to apply for my passport (for my destination wedding next year) and apparently i was incorrect my *entire* life: my middle name is *NOT* marie ... in fact, i don't actually *HAVE* a middle name, according to my birth certificate!so at the passport acceptance facility, i'm there arguing with the lady ( Read more... )

that's funny!!

My name was actually Jill when I was born, but they changed it to Melanie. Thankfully they put the right name on my birth certificate.

that's funny... i usually have the opposite problem. i've always known i don't have a middle name. my parents thought i would take one when i got confirmed.... well that hasn't happened as of yet.

i get yelled at all the time about how my middle name needs to be there for legal reasons, identity theft, blah blah blah....

sigh... the world we live in....

My middle name really is Marie. It was my paternal grandmoms first name. And when I get married, I did the "tradional" thing that people don't do much anymore and moved my maiden name to the middle.

My father was a little annoyed that I dropped his mothers name, but personally I though it was cooler to keep my maiden name around somewhere - which of course is also his name, so go figure.
