That silly Chibihotep plushie was still on Todd's desk. Though considering its connection with dreams, perhaps it wasn't so silly. He did keep it facing away from the bed at least. It was the hormones damn it! They were relentless…and Todd was hot. As the door closed behind them, Neil moved to pull the other boy into the circle of his arms, leaning down to nuzzle softly at the corner of his mouth. Still, it was mostly affection in his touch but the warmth of passion, the warmth of the heat from which Todd’s beautiful words seemed to be forged, raced between them.

“You make me so damn proud, Todd. Watching you coming out of your shell, becoming the man you were always meant to be…I know I seem to be scrambling a little here but I could never imagine trying to take you away from your Dreams…away from your home.”

Damn those hormones, always getting in the way of conversations. Though Todd didn't mind talking and cuddling either, if he could control himself that is.
Todd shook his head briefly, and then went back to nuzzling tenderly, "There's no need to, Neil. This is your...our home." He backed away, only to sit on the bed, and patted the spot by him.

"We'll make this work, make this home for both of us. It'll all work, Neil. I'll bet you'll find something before you know it."

Neil moved to join Todd on the comfortable bed and he went so far as to sprawl out on his back, arms folded behind his head as he looked up at the ceiling. It dawned on him that of all the things he'd told or asked Todd about recently, he hadn't told him about the paper ( ... )

Todd beamed back at Neil, and he laid back on his side, watching his lover.

"See? I told you things would work out. They'll hire you. You got all of that experience from Welton's paper. You work on the paper, and I'll be out back in the gardens."

He added, "This is our home, and we're making a place for ourselves together."
