Jon Pertwee was my first.

It's true what they say, you know: you never forget your first. I certainly haven't. A relative from abroad (see, I'm from the Philippines) sent me VHS tapes (state of the art, baby) and included a note that read: Watch immediately. You've never seen anything like it. And I hadn't. And still haven't. The silver hair. The ( Read more... )

Not always the best... robz0r July 10 2008, 09:37:14 UTC
Tom Baker was my first. His first story was my first. He was my favorite for quite a while but...

I grew to love McCoy. Not his stories, really, but his style. McCoy and Aldred... The Professor and Ace. The best dynamic I've ever seen in a set of DW characters.

Tom Baker is still a close second, though.

Pertwee was my first too, and the very first Who I saw was The Sea Devils, on original transmission, when I was 2 years old. It scared the hell out of me and I loved it.

But I was a bit too young to really grasp the programme until Tom Baker came along. I remember the shock of having to get used to a whole new actor in the role, but that quickly passed and I loved the dark, horror-themed tone of his first couple of seasons. Seeing things like Genesis of the Daleks, The Seeds of Doom, The Terror of the Zygons, and Pyramids of Mars at that age really had a profound effect on me. Saturday tea-times have never been the same since! :)

Davison was my first, and he's still my favorite, though I really do love them all.

William Hartnell was my first Doctor. I was 5 in '63 [do your own maths, LOL]. All the actors have brought something different and unique to the Doc. David Tennant is doing an amazing job. Still love the series. If my Dad was still alive, he'd be as glued to it as me :-).

You're the same age as my Mom, but her first Doctor was Tom Baker [since we live in the US and it didn't air on PBS until 1978]

Tom Baker was my first, but the moment I saw Peter Davison in action, I had a new fave! And he's still my fave.
