Do they still evoke hypertime? That can fix anything.

have seen no mention of hypertime in a long time.

I have to admit, I was a bit confused by what was going on in Supergirl's comic.

The rest of my sentence should read ...and now I'm even more confused ^.^;;;

I normally don't read Supergirl but the issues where the version of her dressed in black fought Lex looked interesting so I picked up a copy, found out about the black kryptonite so okay seems easy to follow. Next thing I know it looks like her and Powergirl are undercover on another planet, then they're back on Earth and SG is in school? At that point I lost interest.
Your post helps clear some things up but also reveals there's a lot more I missed - same thing with Superman, another comic I sometimes pick up... but obviously not often enough if I missed the majority of what you're referring to.

I really do prefer DC over Marvel but... damn this revisionist policy has got me spinning.

Kandor isn't another planet, it's a minaturized part of Krypton kept in a glass jar in Superman's Fortress of Solitude. The school thing was just her attempt at a secret identity...which she quickly abandoned.

Cotinuity issues--- Comic books face that problem all the time.

I think DC personally got tired of Linda Danvers (personally I hated her) and decided to bring back the Kara Zor-El but with updated modifications such as having inner problems and what not.

To me she is Kara Zor-El.... to you... well thats your opinion but DC never the less brought her back...
