Favorite fairy tale, folklore, fable, myth or legend: I like a lot of Bros. Grimm Fairy Tales- The Goose Girl, Donkeyskin, Little Red Riding Hood, The 12 Swans, Hansel and Gretel, The 12 Dancing Princess.  Also Greek Mythology-Orpheus, Medea, Cassandra, Clytemenestra and Elektra, Norse

I love Robin McKinley too. I don't think I've read Deerskin though.

So, what kind of cannibal stories? (like Snow White's stepmother and such?)

Hi, thanks for replying. Deerskin is an amazingly moving novel, I�d recommend it if you�re already a Robin McKinley fan. As for the cannibals, I was thinking mainly of a book my 4 year old nephew has called Monster Stories that seems to have nothing in it but stories about people getting eaten up. I guess they're not all cannibals through as the eaters aren't always human. They�re from all different parts of the world- there's one from the Pacific Islands about a horrible sea witch, another from Africa about a river monster that eats all the little girls in the village- and it's for little kids. Cute pictures and everything.
