Most thieves are not the most honest of people, so of course he won't fess up unless he's caught in the act. However, it does take a lot of gall to tell such a ridiculous lie. Boo-urns to Bruce.

Boo-urns indeed!

He knows I've got my eye on him now. I'm glad to be at home with mum while dad's away. That way he won't ever have the house to himself in the evening because one of us will be at home at all times. He needs to prove he can be trusted, and as long as he's still sneaking around late at night I will not trust him!

At least Bruce is consistently a PITA....and I hope your parents contact the authorities next time! All this "one more chance" stuff is what he counts on (that, and knowing where all the household members keep their money).

Sorry you're having to deal with that--at least the Library Ladies are fun to be around!

The necessary people have been notified of this incident, and should anything happen beyond this point, his "second chances" are all used up. Next time his student visa will be revoked and he'll be sent back to Korea.
He *has* been doing better since being confronted...but we shall wait and see if this holds up!
