Very nice, indeed. It is always a pleasure to see the various events and influences which go into the making of a man's character. Auron walked a righteous path.
Great moment for both men: Auron speaks up for what he believes is right, Kinoc goes along with authority, and that really sums them both up I think. Ikvan comes off as a bit of a bastard, and he well represents the inflexibility of Yevon and Yevonite doctrine -- all Al Bhed are killers, they are all to blame for the rise of Sin. An interesting viewpoint, not one I've seen brought out so explicitly before.

I liked that, I think you characterised Kinoc and Auron well - one too weak to oppose authority and the other speaking out against what he believes to be wrong.
