«IT’S TRUE»
Basic info
Name: I don't give out my real name just because. You can call me Mug, or Donks, or anything of your choice really.
Gender: Girl. I'm your average girl who likes to dance (badly) and curl up in her bed with a good book.
In a nutshell: I'm pretty independent and an advocate of self-love. I'm really soft (but I like Linkin Park which makes me tuff, right?) I am nothing without my support system.
What I do: I am pursuing graduate studies in California, studying bioengineering. In 2016, I want to be a working lady, curing broken hearts.
Location: San Diego, California. I lived in the South for 8 years and though I feel like I have finally come home (to CA), I miss my hometown dearly. I miss Southern comfort, hospitality, and the barbeque. However, I am in love with Pacific sunsets and blue skies, and I'm staying put.
Nationality: Born in India. I grew up in India and have been in the U.S. for around 9 years now. My culture does not inhibit me, but it is a big part of who I am.
Religion/Politics: I was raised in a Hindu family but now I am indifferent to all forms of organized religion. I respect your views and beliefs, and I expect the same in return. As for politics, I’m as liberal as they get. I like to know what’s going on in the world. I still support Barack Obama and think he's the best thing that could've happened to us. While politics is a big deal, it should not be a factor in how well we get along on here. :-)

Food is good: I eat a lot. I love all things food. But I love pastas, butter chicken, tacos, olives, cheese, strawberries, ice cream, cake, soup, popcorn, crackers, Indian food and donuts. Mmm donuts. My comfort foods are mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. I've been vegetarian, I've been chicken-veg, I've been pescetarian, and now I eat EVERY.THING. No limits, no regrets.
So What Do I Drink?: On a daily basis, I don't drink anything much but water. Nothing else gets me like water. But I am a big fan of wine and tea. Sometimes I indulge in sugary Starbucks drinks.

A Day In My Life: I wake up, go to class, eat my lunch outside on grass, get wurk done, watch Netflix, hit the gym/run/do yoga, cook dinner, and pass time till bedtime.
Any Significant Other?: Yes, we've only been dating ~4 months. He is a puppy in boy form.

People In My Life
Family: My parents live in India (as of 3 years ago). I see them once a year. I miss my mom a lot. My older brother and his wife life in Utah. I see them twice a year. I love my brother. He is the only one who gets me fully (my childhood, my quirks, etc.)
People I Talk About:
Hiral: My best friend since high school. We are separated by 3000 miles now. I miss her.
Shanks: The boyf.
Usama: My ex and my ex-best friend. He was the most important person in my young life for 5 years till 2014 when I decided to make healthier choices.
Roomies: I mean my roommates from college. I will always think of them as my "Roomies".

· I am saving myself to watch Queer As Folk when I’m legal. ETA: Achieved upon turning 16; I am in love with this show.

Lurking on LJ
Posting: I used to update at least once a day, now it's a monthly thing. I've become so busy and self-absorbed with real life, it's quite sad. When I do post, I try to write about the more interesting aspects of my life - or fandom news.
Commenting: I was a kickass commenter, now I suck. However, I read all of your entries. I do. I just lack the time to comment every time.
Defriending Drama: I don’t do it for the drama. 99.99% of the time I cull journals that are inactive or abandoned. It’s rare for me to defriend for a personal reason.
